Zen Haiku: Password Previewing Tools version 2.2 is out. He continues to refine his tool for password choices. I rather wish he’d continue– I wonder what other issues folks face in password selection? Perhaps dealing with passwords that require a number and a capital (a common restriction)?

    I like a password requirement settings. I have only the max length setting right now, but I could have some checkboxes for number required, letter required, a set minimum length, etc.

    I’ve noticed some numbers are easier after some letters, often if they are on the same hand. I’m thinking about less common patterns being “mapped” on to more common patterns: a friend says she often types “omletter” for “omlette” because “letter” is much more common. I also have a book reference on typing patterns to chase down.

    I’m currently in computer upgrade hell, so this may take a while. I deny any rumors I’m posting this from a computer store.
