“A Canadian man accused of being one of the biggest spammers in the world by Yahoo Inc. has agreed to stop sending unwanted e-mails and plans to help educate children about the dangers of the Internet.”

I thought, it’s never enough to be guilty, it’s never enough to stop doing what your doing, no: you have to REPENT your SINS and PREACH to others about the EVIL of your ways.

Then again, why look a gift PR oppurtunity in the mouth.

So the judge and/or jury will hopefully be merciful (though spammers deserve a day for each spam sent…).

While I’ve shown up for jury duty, I was only chosen once, we sat outside a court room for 40 minutes then they came out and told us the case was settled, go back to the big waiting room (it is quite large, in downtown Manhattan).

I would _guess_ that they would not select a self-described atheist as a juror, just as a majority of Americans say they would not vote for a political candidate who’s an atheist (many polls, don’t have a link handy).

So clearly if you want to run for office, state the importance of your faith but that you do not care to discuss it publicly. Unless you want to make a statement, then say proudly you’re an aetheist, but don’t do this if you actually want to win.
