    While it may indeed be a myth that nobody reads anything online, Derek may be painting with too broad a brush on this one.

    Sure we read his article, but that’s because people do read content they’re interested in. What they don’t read is the filler blurbs and extraneous text that clutters up many pages out there.

    In the end, there’s a distinct difference between scanning web pages for the information you’re looking for (i.e. most of the time) and kicking back to read something of interest once you’ve found it (i.e. not often enough).
