I wonder how you prove you are honorable if you get stopped?

    Not “honorable”, but “honored” — presumably someone who has received a medal from the mayor or something. Remember to bring your medal on public transit!

    In Chinese, the word for “veteran” (as in war veteran) translates literally as “honored citizen”. I’ve never heard the expression used in English, though.
