The attribute breadcrumbs have always seemed helpful, particularly when accompanying a search result page. Often on large sites there are many paths to one point and various sets of metadata that can attract the user of the information to that endpoint. Having the attribute breadcrumbs for various of heirarchies to the main page provides users not only a means of finding not only what they are looking for, but other related possibilities and a better understanding of the site’s informaiton structure. Breadcrumbs not only help give context, but also provide a method for enculturation to the site’s or organization’s information structure.
