Just another sad eulogy...

Without the folks at Argus I wouldn't have become an information architect. Reading the O'Reilly book by Peter and Lou is what sparked my imagination back in my content developer days a few years ago ("Why are the developers and designers doing such a bad job of organizing the content I produce?"), and the La Jolla conference in October was the first time I'd been at such a large gathering of people who *knew* what I did. "Information what?" was never heard for three glorious days.

Just knowing that Argus was around made me feel happy. While the individuals that created it will move on to other cool things, the organization itself will be sadly missed.

And for what it's worth, if keeping the ACIA site alive is a burden, I know I (and I believe many others) would be happy to help out by donating time or paying a membership fee. Just a thought (and one that's been thrown around before, I know).

Jen
