When Compuware decided to close its Digital Development Centers, effectively putting a number of IAs out of work (myself included), I was angry. But, I rationalized the decision: after all, the execs in suburban Detroit believe e-commerce is a fad; they just don't get it. Do I really have a future with a company manned by such block heads? Nah!

But this . . . this is discouraging. A black day in A2 indeed.

And, it'll probably get worse before it gets better.

Like so many others on this list "the polar bear book" was instrumental in my having made a conscious decision to pursue the occupation. Messer Rosenfeld and Morville have accomplished a lot. My thanks and best wishes to them and their colleagues.
